Welcome to 16 Steps to Success

I would like to personally welcome you here to the 16 steps to success blog. Getting this off the ground this week has been incredibly exciting and overwhelming as well.

The Blog will be used for discussing each step and opening things up for comments and conversations. We are all alike and have very similar goals and objectives so lets have some great discussions here. The Blog is set up to keep topics within each step so lets try to keep focused on where we are at. Also there will be additional resources and information added and shared as we go through the 8 weeks that you will find here…

BTW…My Name is Sam Clark and I live in Auburn, Maine. I am very excited to be bringing this to you, along with Jack Humphrey and the crew at Authority Site Center. You will get to know me well over the next 8 weeks and will probably have had enough of my voice by the end of this Sealed

Samuel Clark Internet Marketing Expert

I am the Program Director at Authority Site Center Over the next 8 weeks we will be pouring out to you a ton of information that will guide you through a step by step process that no one is teaching online.

We, at Authority Site Center believe and have proven that this system of approaching site building and business building online WORKS…

There is so much confusing and mis-information online that there was a real NEED for this type of teaching to be brought to you. I have personally experienced many of the same struggles you all have expressed and spent well over 2.5 years really struggling online to develop a business.

Some of the old habits do NOT go away very easy and it is a constant day by day approach and awareness to fight off the urges of the Old and NON-Working ways..

That is one of the major driving forces for bringing this course to you!

I personally do NOT want to see any of you fail and struggle with the issues I did.I firmly believe if you are willing to do this work and become a crockpot online instead of a microwave…success will come to you!

FOCUS…Laser Shield Focus…

Please listen to this short video by one of my favorite mentors…Brian Tracy…You will learn the most important thing…

We have had over 750 people sign up, and over 500 of you attended the webinars on Thursday. Thursday nights session came with a huge computer crash for me just 15 minutes before the webinar…but I told my wife that it was NOT going to stop me as the show must go on…

I am so glad it did as the conversations at the end were amazing and even though I was very tired, I felt like I could of talked to you all night :) Make sure you add your State or Country after your name when you enter the webinar. We have had some amazing contacts and connections being made by finding out that some of you live close by to each other.

This blog shall be used for updating everyone and to share resources and tools that will help you to move forward in a systematic step by step fashion. Each of the steps will come with resources for you to download and more importantly will require action on YOUR part.

I can stand here and say that if you do this and do NOT skip over and toss aside what we are saying, then you will be amazed at what happens to your business this year.

Here is another really good video from Brian Tracy about long term goal thinking and success.

You have to put something in before you get something out…You are going to have the plan to move you…but you have to put something in the PUMP… PRIME THE PUMP…..

I am looking forward to sharing this life changing, business changing event with you all…Let's Get to Work! Sam

G’day Sam, Jack & the Team!

Thanks to both of you for this fantastic opportunity and all your hard work so far…

I’ve bought a number of the Snitch My Niche packages and I was really intrigued to learn your research methodology regarding markets, niches, competition, etc.; so the Step 2 materials were fascinating & enlightening all at once.

I think you really hit it on the head by stressing the mastery of the fundamentals first and the absolute importance of focusing on the lesson at hand without jumping ahead. Whether it’s the beginners, intermediate-level, or experienced marketers, we all tend to dismiss or neglect the basics at our peril. Those masters in this or any other field became that way because they focus on doing the fundamentals correctly EVERY time. Correct Fundamentals, Concentration, Consistency, Accuracy and finally, Speed make up the levels of mastery in any field. We neglect the basics at our peril.

It was disheartening & heartening at the same time to hear your honest appraisal of the level of effort required to succeed in this business. Again, it’s something we all need to take heed of.

I look forward to the discussions, interactions, relationships and other developments from this team. Good luck to one and all in your endeavours.

    See you all inside…

    Jeff

    Hi Sam,

Thought I’d take the opportunity to be one of the first to comment on the 16 Step program. I missed the first session on Tuesday but I was very impressed with the quality of information that you gave out on Thursday. It is very unusual in this market to get so much good information for so little money without a large spoonful of advertising.

Just one question, did I miss the links for the session two powerpoint slides?

Keep up the good work, I’m looking forward to Tuesdays webinar.

  • 9 Zack // Mar 15, 2008 at 11:21 pm

Hi Sam and Jack. I continue to be impressed by what you all are doing and the obviously HUGE amount of time and effort you are putting into this. And for free!

I am following all the IM stuff being offered daily and I value this more highly than any of the big ticket programs I’ve paid for (or wanted to pay for).

I’m looking forward to focusing on this and nothing else for the next 8 weeks, despite all the shiny little offerings from guru masters constantly flying at me.

I hear you when you say that focus and action are the keys to success and I intend to put every ounce of spare energy into this and this alone.

Lastly, thanks for the Brian Tracy vids. Just the thing I needed. Great motivational reminders.

    Looking forward to it!

    -Zack

    Sam,
I have been both amazed and grateful at the deep of your training, so my first comment is thank YOU.

I have begun implementing the 3 ring binder system you recommend in step 1 and it has helped me tremendously to be more organised and focused.

I believe connecting with others who have similar visions is the way to succeed on the Internet.

Web 2.o appears to be bringing out the Heart of Internet Marketing…would you agree?

Thanks Jack Humphrey Sam Clark for the super webinar, for putting up this blog and for the videos.

Thanks Jack and Sam for doing so much for us.

I am amazed at the amount of information, knowledge, experience and practical wisdom shared - all free of cost.

I am working hard on a Sunday and I couldn’t sleep yesterday night after all the market analysis and niche research.

It is unbelievable that such information could be given away for free.

You have invested your precious time and energy to give all this to us and I want to make the most of it by going through every step of your course thoroughly.

    Thanks once again.

Thanks once again Sam for the super, super training program.

    Sam,
… thanks again for all of your efforts - indeed!

I love the way you “drill-down” and go for depth - allowing the knowledge to be retained by all levels of attendees in the program.

Oh… You may be covering it further in subsequent chapters, yet, it appears that the “allintitle:Keyword” and “allinanchor:Keyword” elements are two very important subjects that didn’t get the chance (due to time restraints) to be explained completely…?…

Very much look forward to the very next class!

    Best Always,
    - Michael

The 16 steps sessions are great so far! Just wanted to say thanks allowing me the opportunity to have access to such great down to earth information.

  • 19 Christopher // Mar 16, 2008 at 12:44 am

I feel real validated by the videos. I always thought that there real money-makers were doing something permanent and was working hard at setting it up to do it often. I knew that took hard work and sailing often.

Sam, I’ve had just about the same amount of time as you did NOT getting much of anything done being successful online … about 3 years.

I’ve had no good reason to say that this will suck and suck badly. SO here’s my perspective … the perspective of the man who questions everything …

check your doubts at the door, surrender the thinking that “maybe this wont work” … and follow the 16 steps to the end … because doubtful people are equally unsure that it will work. SO if it’s all the same … just let it go and take those 16 steps.

I think some of us have walked farther to a job we might not get, to a girl or guy who might not go out on a date, and to a meeting that might not go so well … so why did we take the walk?

If we had the same attitude about free training as we did about those things … we’d never leave the house, would we.

a question I ask myself after I find someone worth following is “WHat else better do I have going on right now that’s getting me what I want?”

and when I ask myself that question when it comes to creating successful internet websites … the answer is “not much”.

That’s why … in the spirit of science and human ventures … I’m going for it, doubts and all.

  • 20 Suzanne // Mar 16, 2008 at 12:51 am

    Hi Sam,

Thank you so much for this amazing program!

I agree with you about the chat after Thursday night’s session. It was amazing - and motivating.

The following day, as I told a friend about the previous night’s session, he made an interesting comment. He pointed out that he hadn’t seen me this enthusiastic about something like this in a very long time. And, I have to agree. ;-)

Your answer to my question regarding content vs. monetization was particularly thought-provoking. In this day of “microwave” everything, we tend to forget the importance of a strong foundation and preparation.

I believe that’s what you’re offering us here. I, for one, am extremely grateful. You’re one in a million!

    “See” you Tuesday!

What a fantastic first blog post, Sam!

And a great selection of videos - the first one really brought home to me where I have been going wrong.

I have been pumping too many wells one after the other without putting absolute maximum effort into any of them!

I can see a pattern of trying and failing just like Brian said but not trying hard enough to get the water flowing - then I give up and move onto a new well.

Thank you so much for this inspiring post

Excellent videos! Thanks for sharing. I like the ten goals one wishes to accomplish, but only have 24hrs to do so, which one goal would it be. Doing something daily which pushes you closer to accomplishing your goals is how people will achieve these goals. We need to take charge of the common hours we waste daily. Step by step not sprint by sprint. Being consistent daily, instead on trying to complete everything overnight. This kind of consistency is exactly how I’ve been getting through college. Consistency, few have it, we all need it.

Thanks again and looking forward to Tuesday!

I can only say one word about the videos………….TERRIFIC. I believe these are things we really know deep down but we keep forgetting. They solidly reinforce the maxim of keeping things simple and the beauty of it is that these things have worked in the past………..work now………and will keep working in the future……..ad infinitum.

    Thanks a ‘mill.

  • 33 Mark Sitter // Mar 16, 2008 at 9:14 am

This is great! I think this is what so many of us out here have been looking for. There is so much hype and B.S. out on the web finding a nugget of truth is so refreshing! I think at one time we bought into online is so much easier and faster to roll in the money. That work was only putting up a web site and the money was suppose to flow in without mch effort. Or for only a arm someone would be willing to “share” the way to become a muli-millionare over night. Then when you get through all that and find the really good info you end up in info overload and confused as to where to start. I am enjoying the road map you are giving us! This has been what I have been looking for! You guys are becon of light to cut though all the hype. And your not afraid to use that nasty four letter word “work” . Am look forward to working with you.

Thanks for taking the time to offer this course.

    Question
I have several niche ideas that I’m passionate about including the business I’m already in…Web Site Design

Do you recommend building on what I’ve already created or pursue and another passion
that can generate another income stream?

The seminars have been wonderful. Unfortunately I live in UK and the timings either fall at my working time or after midnight. I would request you to kindly provide recordings for the seminar if possible. Also if I have not attended seminar No 2 what course of action should I take to keep upto date with everyone else. Kind regards and keep up the good work.

This is a fantastic course. Already i am loaded down with work but I learned more in the two hours of step 2 than i have learned in 14 years wasting my time on the net trying to make money for 14 years.

First of all, I would like to thank Sam and Jack for making this opportunity available and for free. I have been in this Internet marketing game for quite awhile. I have seen many seminar offerings. I was a member of a mentoring group for about four years. Yes, I did learn alot, but I paid alot to. What you are getting info wise could literally be sold for a minimum of I believe to be $5000 and from what I have seen so far, I believe that would be cheap. What we received in the Thursday meeting alone ensures your “success” in you marking endeavors.

I have known about Jack for some time. From the marketing Internet people I know,
he is considered to be the best at what he does.

I personally will be joining Jack’s $30/month Power Linking club. If you are involved in a one person Internet business venture it is so nice to be able to have the most reliable web2.0 source as a resource ranther than having to spend your vauluable time trying to determine what is the lattest news in that realm.

Be very thankful that these two are offering this webinar free and that you were smart enough to take advantage of it.

  • 44 Tim_San Diego // Mar 16, 2008 at 1:19 pm

Wow. Can’t believe I’m going to be the first one to make a post! Just want to say that I’m really looking forward to this whole process. I can already see that there actually IS a process, and I want to thank Sam and Jack for doing this.

  • 45 Gary Wood // Mar 16, 2008 at 3:20 pm

Sam, For a newcomer exploring the possibilities of Social Media like myself, the presentation has been extremely helpful. I have been operating abysmally below my potential in terms of web presence for years.

Through a program I was a part of, I am in the process of developing several sites around associated products and programs in the area of dealing with burnout.

I have worked in this area for over 10 years now, but never committed it to a progression of websites and offerings. Keeping it all straight has been a steep learning curve. I am just about ready to launch.

I appreciate the research background and work you assigned the other day. (Although is was a hefty assignment!) Better to be grounded in reality than wishes. Much to do.

I have used SiteBuildIt for a lot of my research. It seems to provide some of the similar information to what you assigned.

Just wanted to say I appreciated your input and look forward to what’s to come.

I just wanted to start things off by complimenting you on the incredible service you’re providing us. Sam.. You’re fantastic!

I’ll be sticking around for the whole incredible 8 weeks (and probably longer ;-)

I was lost and wasting so much time trying to get going with getting on with things…well, I think you get the point - I needed help to get a focus and move my business forward. An then there was Samuel Clark & Jack Humphrey!

Finally I feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Last Thursday was amazing and the synergy that came afterwards was equally mind blowing.

The one piece of advice I can give to everyone out there is GET INVOLVED and take action! One of the places you can do that is on the 16 Steps To Success group on Facebook. Try this link to find it : http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=13736981310

    See you all there!

I’d like to be the first one to congratulate you, and thank you for the time you’ve put into preparing and presenting this course.

I’ve been around the net for quite a while, and what you have provided so far is excellent.

I look forward to working through the rest of the course, proving for myself that all this is really worthwile, and then using any tools or membership sites that will make the process more efficient.

I am one of those people that has been skipping Step 2 for the last few years. Well, after actually hearing you talk about it, I realize the huge importance of this step, not only in relation to building a successful business, but also in relation to the feeling of confidence it will give me about what I’m doing. This, in itself, will assist me in moving forward. I’ve also begun to fully understand the crockpot mentality! Thank you so much for the opportunity to attend this class. You’ve helped a great deal in just two sessions to change my overall attitude about developing my business.

Thank you for these gems Sam. They are valuable lessons for life, not just for ‘work’ or ‘internet maketing’. I’m going to show my husband these when he gets home tonight. As an ex-farmer he should know all about priming the pump. I’ve been trying to get him to take action on starting his ebay business - maybe the one step forward video will be the ‘light bulb moment’ for him.
I look forward to the next 7 weeks and our journey together as one huge family. I’ve already received fantastic help from some of my new family members. WOW.

What a great job you are doing with the 16StepsToSuccess training program!
Not only good content but also enthusiastic presentation of the material. I am already benefiting much from your help to get on a daily schedule. Also I am working more systematically and accomplishing more. Thanks very much. I look forward to many more benefits.

    SUGGESTION
The pdf’s of the class notes are excellent and If we had them BEFORE the class I could print them out and add my personal notes right onto them as you speak. It would make it easier for me to keep track of my notes. So could you make the pdf’s available before the class sessionS? Thanks, Sam.

Have a pleasant day and see you in class tomorrow.

    Hi Sam
Your choice of videos could not have been better. I’m sure most of us can see ourselves in at least one of them. I am definitely here for the full 8 weeks and thereafter until I get it right.
    Keep the good stuff coming.

    Hey Sam,
great to see that you got the blog up despite being super busy,- well done.
I actually checked it out a couple of days ago when you first sent out the email but I figured I’d come back a couple of days later after a few comments had rolled in. So I was kinda surprised that nobody had kicked off the comments yet and so I thought I’d hop in and say how much I’m enjoying the sessions and that I really appreciate the hard work you guys are putting in. I’ve printed off the 3-ring binder page and I’m starting to work through it. I can sense that there’ll be some difficult challenges (i.e. breaking bad habits) throughout the course but I feel thats probably just what I need. I’ve been online now for 10 months and still haven’t really gotten out of the starting blocks but despite that I feel as determined as ever and especially motivated now that I’m a part of your group.
Thanks again,. God bless ya man!

I’ve bee amazed by the quality of the info you are giving away.

    Thank you for your generosity.

I have a question about keyword research

The figures in Wordtracker are low because they draw the results from a small database. What woudl you multiply the results by to get a better idea of the actual number of searches?

    http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/search

seem to offer a reasonable alternative to overture.

Are the results daily or monthly searches?
I’m wondering hwy they are so different to those in Wordtracker.

    Thanks

Sam are you planning to open a forum for us?

    If negative I’ll do it.

    Hi Sam,
I missed the first webinar, but listened to the second one over the phone!
I wasn’t able to hear you.
I am in Spain and when I saw that a friend of mine was in the ‘room’ I called her in Washington state and she stuck the phone by her speakers…
I wanted to say that I felt for you with your computer crashing, but at the same time time I was able to feel the force and passion that you gave to us.
I will be trying to hit the early session from now on because a 5 am finish is not so great for the rest of the things in my life!

    Thank You,
    George

Hi Sam and The Whole Gang,

I’m having a problem with clickmate and wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

When I use the paste function by “right clicking” on the top 10 Google search results, it is saving the links like this:

    http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.essortment.com%2Ffood%2Falcoholicblende_tsmp.htm&ei=9CTgR7rgBoL8gQTcuKivCA&usg=AFQjCNENw5I4Cm67Y47bsruxVyqZDkxXzA&sig2=LtLj3VDoGUCE33lJHe-WTg

    in stead of like this:

    http://www.essortment.com/food/alcoholicblende_tsmp.htm

I watched the video a few times. Maybe there is a setup issue.

    Does anybody know the answer?

    Thanks

    Michael
