I have been working behind the scenes at ASC alot and really trying to solve some of the core issues we all have on a daily basis.
It is proven that posting remotely onto various sites like squiddo, hubpages, wordpress.com wetpaint and many others can really help with traffic and rankings. The issue seems to be when will I have time to do all this?
I am curious as to how you all feel.
WHat is your biggest challenge when it comes to web 2.0? Are you seeing benefits from it? Are you doing it? And if not, why not?
In session 14 I think it was, Jack talked about how easy it has gotten and that 70-75% of his traffic is coming off the social sites.
That being the case, what is your biggest Challenge when it comes to Web 2.0?

Glad you asked…
First, if all we’re talking about is the promotion of one Authority site, then we’re talking about the time and effort it takes to establish a profile on as many as we can of these social community sites, right?
Second, then we have Howie S. telling us we need to not only have one profile but many, there’s just that much more work up front and down the road with the friending and other participation.
Then, if you factor in that you may have more than one Authority site, there’s just that much more multiplication.
Finally, if you’re doing any affiliate marketing using these same methods of promotion, how do you represent yourself across several different kinds of products which may be quite at odds with each other? For instance, if your profile purports you to be an upstanding citizen and you’re promoting Bible sales, and at the same time you’re also promoting a gambling casino, doesn’t that make your integrity questionable?
Now that I’ve read back through all this, did I answer the wrong question? Am I supposed to be asking only about Squidoo, Hub Pages, Ning etc? or is the whole social site community stuff separate?
It’s late, I’m tired, I guess I’ll just let this stay here because if it’s a question better put in a different place, well Sam, just take it out and I’ll understand.
